Research Program

We welcome curious and motivated students with interests in music, technology, or creativity. Prior experience in coding or music is helpful but not required, but students who have successfully created the standard Creativitas full-year program will be preferred.

Our 2025-2026 Research Assistantship is an opportunity for a select few students to participate in a year-long research program led by MIT professor Ian Hattwick. Over the course of the program students will get the opportunity to learn about the research process, the music technology research community, and engage with MIT students and faculty. Crucially, they will also contribute directly to an academic research project, leading to a paper submitted to major music technology conferences like NIME and ICLC, as well as other public presentations.
